It could be done, plus it'll take a handful of shots for you to die, in which time you could reload an try again,
or you could ride off, or hide behind the barn an pop out an shoot some, hide, shoot etc

You definately couldn't ride off...the first action you get it with red eye, but I think it may be possible.

But if you take over from the movie bit before he pops out of the barn and faces them all you could easily throw some dynamite out an kill them all in 1, or something

An if you start a side mission with John, then go back later on as his son, your magically recognized asif your still john and it was only half hour ago they last spoke to you, even tho your a completely different person and several years have passed
