Nice, I wouldn't have minded a company car recently!

22k isn't too bad...you do know how much company cars actually cost you per month? (On TAX etc...) Are you allowed to choose from ANY car make/model?

il see...i think they are doing it on a Lease so not sure how that will work...will have a think about it

well they got a deal with VW and lease from them so i think VW only...only the Golf looks any good...Polo is a bit girly aint it?

na just leasing the car for me

Are they giving you an allowance on top of your salary or just providing the application?

na just leasing the car for me with an option to pay a balloon payment at the end of the lease and keep the car or upgrade to a newer model....think id keep upgrading if i could!

Definately something to look into, my company do company cars but for a 20k BMW 1 Series or similar Vaxhaull I'm pretty sure £250 comes out of your own pocket per month for TAX? not 100% sure tho...

yeah scirocco is the only other one really....bit more pricey thou...think il stick yo the golf....hope they can sort it my Punto is getting old! X Reg but looking dated these days!

I take the cash rather than the company car, because if you take the car, you get taxed as 'a benefit in kind' which is something like 40% of the cash benefit that it equates to. Worth checking out. Most company cars are leased with a view to buy, or to swap after 2 / 3 years. Check out the details though. Often the deal includes., MOTs, repairs, services, petrol allowance etc. which makes it a good value for money deal. Some don't though, especially when you take into account the tax hit.
