Your looking at it the wrong way, you would be paid 10,000 to off someone. They have no idea who you are so the paper trail never leads back to you, thus no alibi or motive needed.

You buy a weapon off the black market with serials taken off thus the weapon never traces back to you or the supplier. Just make sure you dont leave any clues, i.e. rubbish and cigarette butts that could lead to future dna matching.

You'd need to do it in a public place, coffee shop for example. Distraction, whilst they are looking away, slip it in their drink.

Silenced rifle would be more apt to making the shot at night through a window in their house per say, however you would have to reduce the distance between yourself and the target as a silenced weapon loses alot of it's range.

Indeed, hard to look suspicious in a massive crowd. Thats why a silenced weapon is key for doing it at night, also spending a long time working out what route to leave. plan b is also a handy thing to have.
