[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Benik Afobe, who was once claimed to be techniquely perfect by Arsene at 14 has turned down offers from Barca (and several other clubs) to sign on as a proffesional at Arsenal.
For those that are'nt aware of him, he is considered one of the most promosing young players in his age group for both Arsenal and England, and was the subject of interest from Europes top clubs after he was asked to play in a Brazil practice match when they were using our training ground. Although the match was behind close doors, rumours circulated that he made the Inter Milan and Brazil keeper Julio Cesar look average scoring a few goals, and coupled this with some fantastic individual skill and some great team play.
Not a big name signing, I know... but this lad could go on to big things with us, if he lives up to his potential and it's good to have a young English lad turn down Barca to show a bit of loyalty.
