Henry was better. Singlehadedly won us games. Can't remember Bergkamp really doing that tbh.
You are probably a bit too young then.
Bergkamp was the 1st massive signing that Arsenal ever really made.
He was immense, but was much more than a goal scorer. He made Wright and other strikers look better than they were, because single handedly he gave them easy chances.

Can't remember Bergkamp winning us games. Fuck off.
He was only about 5 when Bergkamp signed. Probably didn't see a great deal of him at his peak.
Bergkamp was (in my opinion) the most naturally gifted player and the best player in world class status that has ever played for Arsenal. Well, actually second after the great Paul Merson.

Clueless. Merson over Henry and Bergkamp?
Obviously not, but he was my favourite player when I was going to every game in the late 80's and 90's, including several Wembley visits and Copenhagen and Paris.
My greatest ever modern (George Graham management onwards) Arsenal players:
1) Bergkamp 2) Adams (plus in some degree the entire back 5 of that era) 3) Henry 4) Pires 5) Wright 6) Seaman 7) Vieira Cesc 9) Merson 10) Petit / Overmars / Marwood

Why does the number 8 come up with ?
Also how sad that there is only 1 current player making it. & only just at that.

You are probably correct. We are talking Ian though not Richard?
... also have a point about Limpar, but not sure he was quite as good as Cesc. Plus he only really had 1 good season?
and Aberdeen Overmars could be a shout, but was he better than Marwood?
