My boyhood hero was Charlie George. Obviously because of the 71 cup final. After the game, I went straight down the park, scored a goal and laid on my back with my arms in the air.
The first player to make an impression on me, however, was Jon Sammels. I'm not sure why, albeit he was a very good player, but he was the one player I really noticed during my first ever Arsenal game. I think it was because of his power and his penchant for a strike from outside of the box. We could use him now.
