I was working on site in San Fran for about 3 weeks a couple of years back My company charged the client about £2k a day for my time plus my expenses. Mind you flying Virgin upper class is amazing.

Virgin Upper class is the best possible without getting a private charter.

Firstly, make sure you get a points card. Just for the flight alone, I got £200 worth of vouchers (John Lewis) and enough points for a flight for the wife and I to anywhere in Europe.

Secondly - Get the chauffeur to pick you up early and enjoy the loungue. Get your hair cut, your shoes polished and some great free food and drink.

Thirdly - Enjoy the stand up bar on the plane. But ensure you get a massage and you get to eat whenever you want to, by choosing a meal from the menu. Don't foget to tell them how you like your steak cooked.

£4500 for my return flight. I would love to be able to justify paying that every time, but it is ridiculous. Especially when I could have flown in normal class for about £500. Even Virgin cattle class is good though.

it is silly money and i would never pay that.....even premium Economy is about 600 quid more....got bumped up on the way back from Miami thou...was quality....i slepped like baby for 6 hours!

Perfect for me, but the company could only justify it because it was a last minute thing. Friday afternoon. Major catastophe on site, they needed me and acolleague to get there to sort it out on the Monday morning. No business class flights available to get us there in time, so they had no choice. All work flights over 2 1/2 hours have to be business class (or better) so we lucked in. easiest thing to fix ever as well. There for 3 weeks with a very good mate, all expenses paid and fuck all to do....
