got a question cunts - even though my passport expires october 2011 can i still renew it now?

Because im planning my 3 month trip in march time i would prob need it renewed anyway as it would only be 6 months till it expires. I just want to know if i can get it done now to save hassle later on

in certain countries you cant so thats why i want to renew it just wanted to check how far ahead i can renew it

Had a quick ganders on the web and it says you can renew it anytime but wont add the full extra year on if i did it now
